America Eats for Israel 2008

the idea is to have people eat out at participating restaurants on a designated date.

On the chosen day, each participating restaurant donates 10% of that day's gross revenue to Meir Panim. The ability to feed hungry Israelis by doing something as simple and enjoyable as eating is the driving force behind this fundraiser’s tremendous success.

Meir-Panim’s Jerusalem Branch Covered in White

Those who thought they might not be able to leave their homes in the snow stocked up on food trays beforehand, but those who ventured out were treated to fresh, hot meals as usual.

Combined Efforts Provide Surprise Assistance for a Lone Soldier

A few weeks ago, Lt. Netta Betat from the Shomron Regional Brigade called me with a request to help surprise one of her soldiers- Corp. Yaniv Grama. Yaniv, a lone soldier who had been given a room on Kibbutz Givat Oz, which is near the Megiddo Intersection and his brigade. Cooking Concepts and Meir Panim Join Forces

The program for the evening began with a d’var torah and welcome from Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum, Rabbi of the Young Israel of Lawrence/Cedarhurst, followed by a sushi demonstration by Naomi Ross, Director of Cooking Concepts and 3 able assistants from the audience. A Celebration of Love

A night with the “Kings” raises money for Meir Panim

On Sept. 8th, at Neman Hall, the red carpet was rolled out, as people pulled up to valet their cars.
