More than one out of every three Israeli children lives under the poverty line, according to the 2006 annual statistics report submitted by the National Council for the Child (NCC) to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert last Wednesday. The gathering, which was held in a cordial atmosphere, provided the guests with a unique opportunity to ask how they could get directly involved in contributing to Meir Panim’s various outreach programs in Israel. The new center, which is known as “Beit Zusman”, was dedicated in memory of their parents Rev. Louis & Mrs. Frieda Zusman and Berthold & Jenny Rothschild.
