Meir Panim’s programs and services offer a wide range of support to communities throughout Israel. On Friday night of November 1st, 2019, the State of Israel was attacked by rockets from Gaza over the Sderot area and neighboring communities. Meir Panim centers serve as a safe-haven to regroup from the trauma.
Many teens turn to Meir Panim’s center, such as Ben Gurion, to create a safe space for them to talk to in turn, find ways to give back to one another. One program in the Ben Gurion center will focus on the year ahead to allow boys in having time together and to strengthen their identities.
In Meir Panim’s Nir Am center, a movie night was hosted to promote and create a relaxed and safe place for them. This was particularly important, given the stress imposed by conditions out of their control.
In Meir Panim’s Neviim center, teens went to work to spruce up the center’s outdoor space.
These photos serve as proof, inspiration and in thanks to Meir Panim’s dedicated volunteers who help support these not only wonderful but imperative programs. You help improve the lives of teens at risk in Sderot. Thank you for making them smile and feel cared for.
