Meir Panim Update
Is it or isn’t it?
January 1, 1970

Last week, Marilyn and Robert Feinstein from Denver, Colorado, had a chance to see this unique Meir Panim branch first hand. Dedicated in memory of Eva & Morris Fish, the restaurant services anyone in Tiberias who is in need of a warm meal.

In an hour span, one can spot the regulars who come in, take their food, exchange a few words with the staff and find their usual table. Newcomers look around uncertain until they are approached by Varda, the branch manager or Ziva, her assistant, and are made to feel at home. A few demure people come to the counter and politely ask to take home food for their children or elderly parent. Everyone receives an extra helping, a smile and encouragement. After all, that’s what Meir Panim is all about!
