Meir Panim Update
Bar Mitzvah gifts from Toronto to Meir Panim in Israel.
January 1, 1970

Here is the letter Morgan sent us:
“I decided to donate a portion of my Bar Mitzvah gifts to charity. When I began my search for a charity, my main concern was to find an organization that helped children. My mother and I watched a video on the Meir Panim website, and learned about all they do to feed the hungry in Israel. I felt that Meir Panim is a very worthy cause and that Meir Panim needs the money more than I do.

When I watched the video, I understood that giving food to the hungry does not just feed them it also allows them to retain their dignity. Meir Panim makes it so that poor children at school can eat just like the rest of the kids, and not feel different. Eating also enables the children to concentrate better and do better in school, because no one can work well on an empty stomach. I donated the amount that I did, because I really want to help the hungry in Israel in a big way. I know that my donation will make a difference!”
