In a special project in cooperation with the Company for the Restitution of Holocaust Victims' Assets, Meir Panim distributes food shopping cards resembling credit cards to Holocaust survivors, which are used as a gift card at major food chain stores. The cards can be used to purchase groceries and other necessities (excluding alcohol and cigarettes), and is valid for six months, at which point the card holder may apply for a renewal. This innovative project allows us to offer additional assistance for needy survivors on a new level, while preserving their self respect. Scarred with memories of a painful past, these survivors deserve the dignity of shopping for food and basic household goods without the embarrassment of receiving handouts.
Price includes sponsorship of one monthly food shopping card for a needy Holocaust survivor.
